I cannot even begin to express the love and support that Dave and I have received over the last 24 hours.  We
are so blessed by each and every one of you who have shared your own adoption experiences with us and
also made contributions to our cause.  I cannot WAIT to wear my shirt loud and proud and hope to see
others doing the same.  EVERYONE needs to be talking about how great adoption is - it is a miracle and a
blessing!  Thank you for believing in us and for believing in adoption.  We are overwhelmed by the goodness
of God and of His people!

I am so excited!  The shirts have officially been ordered and will be ready in about 2 weeks.  I cannot wait to
see them...wear them...and get to them to all of you.  Thank you, again, for your love and support.  I can't say it
enough times.  We are so, so blessed.

There's a lot going on this week!  The shirts are in and they look AWESOME!  I am packaging them tonight
and plan on shipping them tomorrow.  Hopefully you'll have them early next week.  Also, you probably notice
some changes to the site!  I am trying to make it more user friendly and we'll also be adding new products in
the next few weeks (like koozies and stadium cups!) so bookmark our site and check back often!

Dave and I applied for a $5000.00 adoption grant through Gift of Adoption in April.  We received an email
today informing us that the grant committee will be meeting in June/July to make a determination.  Please
pray for the committee members who have to make such a difficult decision and for the adoptive families
who are hoping for some financial aid.  While this grant could certainly make a significant impact on our
fundraising efforts, we know there are many other families who are in need.  We certainly trust that God will
provide for all of us in one way or another.  Thank you all for your amazing support and prayers and
purchases and donations.  Each day we are one step closer to our baby!

Our dear friends, Emily and Cory, host an annual BBQ every summer.  This year they decided to make it a
benefit.  This year's project of choice...Not For Crybabies.  Not only was the party a HUGE success (we
raised over $800 for our adoption fund!), but it was a lot of fun!  There were many people wearing our shirts,
lots of good food, and it was tons of fun!  A VERY BIG thank you to Emily and Cory for hosting such a fabulous
event and to Whitney for running around and working the 50/50 raffle like a pro! Also, a big thank you to Mary,
our friend who works for Adoption Access, Inc., who is holding our hand every step of the way.  Thank you to
each and every one of you who attended the party on our behalf, donated money to our fund, and wore your
adoption shirts loud and proud!  Without all of you, we would never be able to achieve our goal.  We are so
blessed and so very grateful. XOXO, Jess and Dave

We received an email today informing us that the Gift of Adoption Grant Committee will not be reviewing our
grant application until August.  Like our friend Mary said, hopefully they're saving the best for last.

I also want to let everyone know that with your efforts and the extra things Dave and I are doing, we are nearly
1/2 way to our goal!!!!!!!!  That is amazing...truly an astounding accomplishment.  It's been a few weeks since
I have thanked all of you and I want to make sure you all know how grateful we are.  These are tough times
for everyone and your generosity is so appreciated.  We do not take for granted a single penny that has come
in.  Thank you for loving us...thank you for supporting us...thank you for supporting adoption.

Our album was shown to a birthmother on Friday, July 10.  We found out the following day that she chose us
and that she was already dilated 3 cm!  We were frantic getting everything ready and spreading the word.  On
Tuesday, we got a call that she was having contractions 7 minutes apart, so we hopped in the car and
started driving.  The doc decided not to admit her, so we stopped for the night midway and got a hotel.
Needless to say, we did not sleep that night!  We made our way to the destination on Wednesday (still with
no word of active labor) and scheduled a "match meeting" with the birthmom for the following day at lunch.
Well, we didn't make our lunch meeting, but we did meet...at the hospital!!

Our sweet baby boy, Jake, was born on Thursday, July 17.  Dave and I were both in the room...Dave even got
to cut the cord!  The hospital gave us our own room to nest and bond with our new baby.  We spent most of
our days with Jake - not able to believe he was really ours!  It was such a special experience and one we will
cherish forever.

Jake came home with us on Sunday, July 19.  He is nearing his two week birthday and he is just the
sweetest baby ever!  We still cannot believe how quickly this all happened and how blessed we are.  We are
enjoying every second and just love being parents.  We share diaper duty, feeding, and night duty and really
love our own special moments with Jake.  He is an absolute angel and we are finally a family!!!

We will continue to sell shirts, koozies, and cups, and maybe even a few new products in the future, so keep
checking back.  The response to the shirts has been overwhelming and we need to keep spreading the
word about the miracle of adoption.  Thank you all for helping to make our dream a reality!  ADOPTION
ROCKS!

I can't even believe it, but our sweet baby boy is 6 weeks old today!  He is just growing like a weed and
making mommy and daddy so happy.  He is such a sweet baby and we know Jake was always meant to be
with us.  I heard the Garth Brooks song "Unanswered Prayers" on the radio yesterday and started to cry.
Imagine if God had given us a biological child years ago...we never would have had Jake.  I am so glad God
knows what he's doing more than we do!!!

It has been a long time since I have updated the site (I am a busy mommy now!), but I want to assure
everyone that we are still selling products and trying to reach our goal.  I encourage you to wear your shirts
wherever you go.  Buy them for your friends, your family, your family's friends!  It has been so amazing the
response I get when I wear my shirts.  It's so cool to have people come up to me and tell me they were
adopted...or they are adopting...or they have adopted.  It happens everywhere and I just love it!
